United’s varied and deep squad means they are England’s best hope in the Champions League this season.

They should have little trouble seeing off Basel at Old Trafford.

Pogba’s presence at set pieces seems to have excelled this season, providing assists at Swansea and Stoke with headers that he probably should have put away himself.

Considering his brilliance from long range, too, he is a nice bet to score in this game.

Celtic v PSG - Tuesday (BT Sport 3, 19.45)

PSG (-1) -

PSG’s new frontline is probably the best in world football, and good enough to subdue what will be a fervent atmosphere at Celtic Park.

As they aim to prove that they now belong in the elite, a slip up is very unlikely.

Celtic not to score -

Despite Celtic Park, understandably, being considered a difficult place to win, Celtic actually only scored in one of their three group games there last season.

We’re not convinced that record is likely to improve in this one.

Kylian Mbappe to score first

Mbappe’s remarkable Champions League goalscoring last season is unlikely to slow down in Paris.

The 18-year-old became the first player to score in his first four knock-out games in this competition, and netted on his PSG debut on Friday.

Barcelona v Juventus - Tuesday (BT Sport Extra 2)

Barcelona to win -

Amid all the talk of a crisis, Barcelona’s impressive start to the season has gone under the radar.

They actually bought well over the summer – in all the positions they needed to improve – and continued their perfect league record with a Lionel Messi hat-trick on Saturday.

Barcelona to score in the first half -

Just as they did in four of their Champions League games at the Nou Camp last season, and both of their home league matches so far this time around.

Juventus, meanwhile, have been weakened defensively over the summer and found themselves two goals down inside seven minutes of their only away game so far at Genoa last month.

Under 2.5 goals -

Juventus should still be capable of halting the onslaught that Espanyol faced against the same opponents on Saturday, though.

All things considered, a low-scoring win for the hosts is much likelier.
