Here are four football tips that Jack Green thinks that you should consider for Arsenal v Liverpool at Wembley.

Liverpool to win

Arsenal finished the 2019/20 season well and even beat Liverpool at the Emirates in July, but the Gunners were fortunate in that game and should struggle at Wembley on Saturday evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are the better team and are further along in their pre-season preparation than Arsenal, having played an extra friendly.

Over 3.5 goals

This fixture has produced some incredible games in recent years, including a 5-5 draw when these sides met in the EFL Cup last season.

Arsenal’s usual defensive frailties and Virgil van Dijk’s possible absence due to a head injury mean this bet should land, as it would have in eight of the last 10 matches between these teams.

Over 1.5 second-half goals

Arsenal and Liverpool each scored twice after the 70th minute in their most recent pre-season friendlies, and there should again be some second-half goals on Saturday evening.

With both teams short of preparation there will be some tired legs late on, meaning the game should open up as both managers make their changes.

Sadio Mane to score

Mane is always a good bet to score, particularly when he plays Arsenal.

The 28-year-old has scored six times against the Gunners in his career, including the only goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat in July.
