Aston Villa to beat Burton –

Aston Villa’s last-minute winner at Sheffield United in midweek made it five victories on the bounce for Steve Bruce’s side.

That run of results has lifted Villa up to third in the Championship, just one point behind the automatic promotion spots.

Bottom-of-the-league Burton were beaten 3-1 at home to Reading last time out and have now lost four consecutive matches, conceding 12 in their last three.

Fulham to beat Nottingham Forest –

Fulham maintained their impressive form by beating Barnsley 3-1 last weekend to climb into the play-off positions for the first time this season.

That was the Cottagers’ seventh victory in eight league games, and put them top of the Championship form table.

Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-0 at home to Preston last time out and have lost three out of four in all competitions.

Blackburn to beat Plymouth –

Blackburn reclaimed second place in League One in midweek with a 3-1 win over Walsall.

Tony Mowbray’s side have now won three of their last four and gone 18 league games without defeat.

Plymouth were beaten 3-1 by Wigan in their last home game and have taken just two points from their four matches against sides in the top three so far this season.

Coventry to beat Forest Green –

A 3-1 victory over Cambridge in midweek kept Coventry within one point of the automatic promotion spots in League Two.

That result also made it six wins in seven in all competitions for the Sky Blues, including a 2-1 victory over Stoke in the FA Cup third round.

Second-bottom Forest Green were beaten 2-0 at Exeter on Wednesday and have lost eight of their last 10 in all competitions.

Mansfield to beat Barnet –

Barnet lost an early lead to draw 1-1 with Cheltenham last weekend and extend their winless streak to eight league games.

The Bees, who are bottom of League Two, have now managed just two victories in 23 league games – a run that stretches back to early September.

Mansfield won 2-1 away to Morecambe last time out and have now dropped just four points in a seven-game unbeaten run.
