Tottenham to beat Huddersfield –

Tottenham’s 3-0 win at APOEL on Tuesday was their third on the spin and seventh game without defeat.

Huddersfield are winless in five, and have scored just one goal during that time.

Aston Villa to beat Bolton –

Supporting bottom-of-the-league Bolton is a thoroughly miserable affair at the moment.

The Trotters were beaten 2-0 at Bristol City in midweek and have now lost seven consecutive games without scoring in all competitions.

They are also yet to record a league win this season, and will lose to an Aston Villa side that have won three on trot.

Preston to beat Sunderland –

Any hope that a return to the Championship would bring about improved results for Sunderland has since been extinguished.

The struggling Black Cats were spanked 5-2 by Ipswich in their last match and have now picked up just two points in eight.

Preston have won three and drawn two at Deepdale this season, and will surely take three points in this one.

Blackburn to beat Gillingham –

Managerless Gillingham picked up a decent point against Scunthorpe on Tuesday, but that’s unlikely to spark a revival.

They have managed only one league win in 10 and have picked up just two points from their five away games this season.

Blackburn have won five out of seven in all competitions at Ewood Park, and should make light work of their visitors this weekend.

Notts County to beat Mansfield –

A 3-0 away win at fellow promotion-contenders Exeter in midweek took Notts County to the top of League Two.

That impressive victory was the Magpies’ sixth on the spin and 10th without defeat.

Mansfield were beaten 3-0 away at Cheltenham last time out and will be beaten by the better side on Saturday.
