In this appraisal of our domestic picks, find out our biggest winners and losers from the 2016/17 campaign...
Time is up on another domestic football season.
And with a 10-week break until it all kicks off again, it’s time to take stock and reflect on our tips.
Here’s how we performed over the course of the campaign…
Total winnings: £1302.46
Total profit: £712.46
Longest-priced pick: Bury v AFC Wimbledon (19/10)
The first of four meetings between these two sides would not end well for Bury.
The Shakers had lost five on the spin and were in the midst of a club-record winless run that lasted for 20 games.
Wimbledon, who were unbeaten in five on the road, were too good a price to ignore and ran out 2-1 winners.
Biggest let-down: Hull v Manchester United (2/11)
Manchester United were unbeaten in 13 league games going into this one and had also won three of their last four at Old Trafford.
Hull, meanwhile, were second bottom and had lost nine away games in a row.
What could possibly go wrong? As it turns out, a lot, as Hull battled to a 0-0 draw.
Biggest winner: This little 20/1 number from mid-November.
Most profitable period: 17/03/17 – 16/04/17 > £494.42 winnings, £284.42 profit
Nine accumulators, four winners. Not bad.
Longest dry spell: 27/01/17 – 17/03/17 > £230 losses
The less said about this, the better.
Most popular pick: Newcastle
The Championship title and an immediate return to the Premier League meant the Magpies made it into 19 different multiples.
Pity they only did their bit in 10 of them.
Most reliable team: Chelsea
No surprises here.
The new Premier League champions were picked 14 times throughout the season, winning 11.
Biggest coupon busters: Bolton Wanderers
Despite only losing 13 matches in all competitions this season, the Trotters let us down on all five occasions that they were picked.
Enjoy the Championship, lads.
