Borussia Dortmund v Hertha Berlin: Thorgan Hazard

Hertha have been in excellent form, but it is still advisable to select a Dortmund player to do the business here.

Hazard has scored twice in four games since the Bundesliga restart, including the opener against Paderborn last week.

Of his eight goals for club and country this season, four have been the first of the game.

Werder Bremen v Wolfsburg: Wout Weghorst

Werder have conceded first in four of their last five home games, while Wolfsburg have opened the scoring in four of their last five on the road, so picking an away player is the sensible move here.

Weghorst has failed to get on the scoresheet since the restart, but looks due a goal. Wolfsburg’s top scorer has 11 in the Bundesliga this season, with four of those being the opener.

He ranks comfortably top for shots per game in the Wolfsburg squad, and sits only behind Robert Lewandowski and Timo Werner for xG in the division.

Union Berlin v Schalke: No goalscorer

Both of these sides have been in stinking form since the restart, picking up one point between them in eight matches.

Schalke have only scored one goal in that period of time, while Union Berlin have managed two.

With no obvious first goalscorer, you’re better off plumping for a snoozefest.

Will Rook

Augsburg v Cologne: Jhon Cordoba

Augsburg are without a goal in two matches so it makes sense to opt for a Cologne player here.

Cordoba is the clear choice, having scored in two of his last three appearances.

The Colombian striker is Cologne’s leading scorer this season with 12 Bundesliga goals and opened the scoring after just seven minutes last time out against Leipzig.
