Here are four football tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for Schalke v Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday. 

Leverkusen to win

Leverkusen have won four of their six matches in all competitions since the restart and should have no trouble dispatching out-of-form Schalke.

David Wagner’s side have taken just one point from their last five, having to come from behind to draw against Union Berlin last time out.

Over 2.5 goals

Leverkusen have scored three goals in six of their last 10 matches overall, so could account for this themselves.

They did concede in seven of those, while Schalke have found the net in their last three meetings against Leverkusen, so are capable of chipping in.

Lucas Alario to score

Kai Havertz and Kevin Volland are both back from injury, but Alario should get another chance to impress on Sunday.

The Argentine has started Leverkusen’s last two matches – against Bayern and Saarbrucken – and found the net in both.

Over 9.5 total corners

Leverkusen have averaged six corners per match across their last five games on the road.

Schalke, meanwhile, have averaged nearly five corners per match all season, so should be able to make up the difference.
