Villarreal to beat Las Palmas –

Villarreal recorded their fourth league win in six last weekend to climb to third in the La Liga form table.

Las Palmas have lost four on the spin and were thrashed 5-2 at home to mid-table Celta Vigo last time out.

The relegation candidates have also been beaten three times out of four on the road, so expect a home win.

Werder Bremen to beat Cologne –

Bottom-of-the-league Cologne lost again on Thursday night, away to BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

That was their 10th defeat of what is now an 11-game winless run in all competitions.

Second-bottom Werder Bremen’s season isn’t going much better, but they have at least claimed three draws from their last four Bundesliga matches and are a big price for all three points.

Fiorentina to beat Benevento –

Benevento’s dreadful debut season in Serie A continued with another defeat against previously winless Hellas Verona last week.

That was their eighth consecutive defeat in the league and they are already five points adrift of safety.

Fiorentina are not in great form themselves, winning just one of their last four matches, but they did win 5-0 at Verona last month and should ease to victory here.

Juventus to beat Udinese –

Juventus should be backed, despite suffering their first home defeat in 57 matches against Lazio last week.

Max Allegri’s side bounced back by beating Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League and have now won five out of seven in all competitions.

Udinese have lost four out of five and have just six points from their eight league games so far.

Paris Saint-Germain to beat Marseille –

Paris Saint-Germain beat Dijon last weekend to open up a six-point lead at the top of Ligue 1.

Unai Emery’s side followed that with a 4-0 victory at Anderlecht in midweek to make it 12 wins in their 13-match unbeaten run.

Marseille were held by Strasbourg last weekend, before labouring to a win against Vitoria Guimaraes in the Europa League in midweek.

They have neither the talent nor form to trouble PSG.
