Palmeiras to beat Fluminense –

Palmeiras have had a sketchy start to their Serie A campaign, but formidable home form should see them through this one.

They are unbeaten in 27 matches on their own patch, winning 21 in that period, and are looking unbeatable in familiar surroundings.

Fluminense, however, have struggled on their travels.

They have lost six out of seven on the road and managed just three victories in their last 11 in all competitions.

Vasco da Gama to beat Sport Recife –

Vasco should enjoy their home comforts, too.

The Almirante have won three of their last four home games and lost just once in 11.

That will be grim reading for Recife, who have crumbled away from home, losing three on the spin.

Botafogo to beat Coritiba –

Despite their win last week, and reasonable start to the season, Coritiba look a good bet to beat beaten here.

They have won just four away games in their last 17 attempts, with their two most recent victories coming against Serie A’s bottom two.

Against a Botafogo side that has six victories from seven at home, they look good value.

Corinthians to beat Sao Paulo –

Table-toppers Corinthians, who also won this year’s Paulistao, are the team to beat in Serie A at the moment.

Fabio Carille’s side have not lost any of their first five matches, winning four on the trot.

They have also lost just once in 13 at home and should extend their lead over second-placed Gremio.

Sao Paulo, who have lost back-to-back matches on the road and are winless in three, are unlikely to stand in their way.

Cruzeiro to beat Atletico Goianiense –

Finally, Cruzeiro should round us off with a clean sweep of home wins.

Like every pick in this accumulator, their recent home form – losing two and winning 13 of their last 18 in all competitions – has been hugely impressive.

Atletico should be no match for them.

The visitors have lost five out of their last six and are without an away win in six attempts.
