To win Serie A 2018/19 Golden Boot –

Over the last 12 Serie A seasons, 29 goals has been enough to win the Capocannionere on 11 occasions, including last year when Ciro Immobile and Mauro Icardi shared the title.

Although Ronaldo probably won’t score at the same rate in his Madrid pomp, the Portuguese should get enough goals to lead the league.

Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic netted a combined total of 43 in the league for Juve last season, and Ronaldo is likely to inherit the majority of those goals with two of the trio likely to move on.

Under 32.5 Serie A goals in 2018/19 –

Ronaldo started slowly last season and ended the La Liga campaign with 26 goals – 23 fewer than his 2014/15 record of 48.

The 33-year-old – as great as he still is – has to manage his playing time and will likely fall just short of 33 in Serie A this season, given that goals are harder to come by for the top Italian clubs than their Spanish counterparts.

To score more league goals than Lionel Messi 2018/19 –

Ronaldo scored just two goals in his first 10 La Liga matches last season, but only missed out to Messi by eight goals in the overall standings after a stellar second half of the campaign.

That slow start is unlikely to be replicated at Juventus, with Max Allegri unlikely to reserve his star man for Champions League matches as often as Zinedine Zidane.

This sure to be a tight race, but is worth a bet at an odds-against price.

To score v Manchester United in the Champions League 2018/19 –

Let us remind you that Ronaldo scored in his first 10 Champions League matches last season.

The only real questions here are whether luck of the draw pits these two together, and whether United’s former No. 7 would celebrate.

To knock Real Madrid out of the Champions League 2018/19 –

The loss of Zidane and Ronaldo means Real Madrid are very unlikely to win a fourth successive Champions League.

And with the tournament’s greatest ever goalscorer ready to impose his indomitable will on the Old Lady, this story writes itself.

To start the season with a goatee beard –

Ronaldo is hardly going to think any less of himself in Italy.

We reckon the self-appointed GOAT will stick with his fledgling facial hair for the time being, which makes this a very tempting price.

To score an overhead kick in the 2018/19 Champions League –

He’s not as quick as he used to be, but Ronaldo remains an explosive athlete and maybe the best leaper in the game.

Take his bicycle kick against the Bianconeri in last year’s Champions League quarter-finals, for example.

He’s going to score plenty of goals in Europe the season – as he always does – so the chances are that one of those will be a ridiculous overhead kick.

To score a hat-trick on Serie A debut –

Ronaldo scored at least one La Liga hat-trick in every one of his nine seasons with Real Madrid, and will surely bag one for Juve in his maiden campaign in Italy.

And what better time than a league debut? The 33-year-old’s treble against Spain at the World Cup showed his penchant for stealing the limelight remains as strong as ever.

Keep an eye on the Serie A fixtures when they are announced on 20 July, as an opening-day visit of SPAL, Frosinone or  Empoli would make this well worth a punt.
