Cagliari or draw v Chievo (17.00) –

Chievo’s dreadful run of form continued last weekend with a 1-0 loss at home to Genoa.

That was their fourth straight defeat and 10th game in all competitions without a victory.

Cagliari could only draw 0-0 with Sassuolo last time out, but are unbeaten in three and have only lost to Juventus and AC Milan in their last six.

Alaves to beat Deportivo (17.30) –

Alaves are coming off back-to-back wins against Celta Vigo and Villarreal, and are unbeaten at home in their last five in La Liga, taking 13 points from 15.

Their strong run of form at Mendizorrotza stadium will likely continue when they take on a Deportivo side that have really struggled on their travels all season.

Clarence Seedorf’s side have taken just one point from their last five away matches, losing 4-0 to Barcelona, 7-1 to Real Madrid and 5-0 to Real Sociedad during that run.

Schalke or draw v Hoffenheim (17.30) –

Schalke have been really good at home this season, losing only to Werder Bremen and Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.

They should take at least a point against Hoffenheim, who are terrible on the road, winning just one of their last nine away trips in the league.

Troyes to beat Metz (19.00) –

Ligue 1’s bottom two meet in a game that Troyes should win.

The hosts have won four of their last seven home matches, only falling short against top-half sides Bordeaux and Guingamp in the league.

Metz have lost eight of their 12 league away games this season, including a 6-3 thrashing at Marseille last time out, so will likely end up on the losing side again.

Valencia to beat Malaga (19.45) –

Valencia returned to winning ways with victory over Leganes last weekend, and can make that back-to-back victories against a poor Malaga side.

Stranded at the bottom of La Liga, the hosts have failed to win any of their last eight matches, losing their last two.

That run includes a draw with Levante and defeat to Espnayol - two sides threatened with relegation themselves - so they have little chance against their third-place visitors.
