Two customers split the £50,000 jackpot in 4 To Score, Betway’s free-to-play game, this week after correctly predicting the first goalscorer in our four selected matches.

It was Georginio Wijnaldum’s opener for The Netherlands against Ukraine that sealed the prize for the pair, after Breel Embolo, Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling had netted first in their respective games.

Ben, a 36-year-old from Hartlepool, was one of the two winners and was rewarded for giving plenty of thought to his picks.

"I was a big fan of Embolo from Football Manager," he said, "while Lukaku is a top-level goalscorer, so I had to go for him.

"I felt that Sterling was ready to deliver on the biggest stage for England. He always plays well for them and often comes back with a big performances when he faces criticism.

"I’m just a huge fan of Wijnaldum, which is why I went for him."

A follower of Hartlepool United, Ben is planning to spend his £25k winnings on a snowboarding holiday when circumstances allow.

"I want to go anywhere with snow," he said. "I’m married and have two kids, so they will be spoiled for a while.

"I will put some of it towards my latest garden project, too. It’s a fantastic amount of money to have won."

The other winner, Steve from Exeter, didn't even know he'd won until contacted by Betway, however.

"I was on my way to Cornwall on a gastro-tour when I got the call," he said. "This will help pay the bill."

That's not to say Steve hadn't given most of his picks plenty of thought, though.

"Embolo was a complete guess, to be honest," he said. "I just knew he played up top.

"I enjoy watching Serie A and Lukaku scores for fun there. He's a class act so he was an easy pick.

"Sterling's had a tough season but I felt playing for England at Wembley would change his fortunes, while I really like Wijnaldum. He is very technically aware and gets into good positions."
