Watford v Manchester City –

After racking up nine goals in the last seven days, we can assume that Manchester City will score in this game.

But a clean sheet is no formality.

Watford put three past Liverpool at Vicarage Road this season, and have only failed to score against Brighton (after being reduced to 10 men early on).

City, as we know, are poor defensively, and that vulnerability could be exposed by the pace of Andre Gray and Richarlison.

Bristol City v Derby –

A new-look front two of David Nugent and Matej Vydra were responsible for Derby’s 5-0 thumping of Hull last Friday.

And after a rest in the EFL Cup tie at Barnsley on Tuesday, the pair should start again and prove equally dangerous at Bristol City.

The hosts, meanwhile, have only failed to score once this season, and netted three at Wolves in their last game.

Oldham v Shrewsbury –

Oldham have found some form in the last fortnight after a dismal start to the season.

The Latics scored three in their last home game against Charlton, before netting five goals in away games at Fleetwood and Bristol Rovers in the last week.

Significantly, though, they have also conceded at least twice in all of those matches, opening the door for Shrewsbury.

The visitors, surprise leaders of League One, have not yet failed to score themselves this season, and only need to partly replicate their excellent form to fulfil their side of the bargain.

Hibernian v Motherwell –

Hibs have been electric at home so far this season, scoring 19 goals in their five matches at Easter Road.

Assuming that they at least manage one goal in this game, it is over to Motherwell to ensure that this game is successful.

Fortunately, the visitors have not yet failed to score this term, netting 11 goals in their four away matches so far.
