Portugal v Mexico –

Portugal should begin their Confederations Cup campaign with an exciting game against Mexico.

The European champions have been prolific since they triumphed in France last summer, scoring 33 goals in nine fixtures.

They’ve netted three goals or more in six of their last seven games, and emerging star striker Andre Silva has bagged seven in eight for his country.

Mexico have also managed to score in each of their last seven games, so a clean sheet looks unlikely for either of these sides.

Oh, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s playing.

Newell’s Old Boys v Lanus –

Newell’s have been one of Argentina’s most reliable BTTS sides in recent weeks, with both sides scoring in five of their last six games.

They’ve notched 10 and conceded 10 in their last four home matches, and have scored in 11 of their last 13 league fixtures overall.

Lanus, meanwhile, have scored in nine of their last 10 games.

They’ve netted six in their last five away games, and have been held scoreless just once during that run.

New York City v Seattle Sounders –

You can bank on plenty of goals when New York City play at home.

Patrick Vieira’s side have both scored and conceded in each of the last six games at their own ground, and have not been kept off the scoresheet at home all season.

They will surely score against a Seattle side that have conceded 10 in their last three away games.

The Sounders are also worth backing to find the net, given that they have done so in nine of their last 12.

Atlanta United v Columbus Crew –

Atlanta let us down last week, but we’ll give them a chance to redeem themselves against Columbus.

They are, after all, the MLS’s best BTTS side, with both teams scoring in 11 of their 14 games this season.

Atlanta haven’t kept a clean sheet since 1 April – a run that spans 10 games.

Given that Columbus have also conceded 15 in their last seven away games, it’s hard to see either of these sides keeping the other out.
