Hamburg v Mainz –

There is plenty of value in backing the away side in a crunch game between two members of the Bundesliga’s bottom three.

Hamburg have not won any of their last 11 matches. That run includes a defeat to bottom-side Cologne, plus three successive defeats.

Sandro Schwarz’s Mainz side are improving. They won their last away game at Hertha Berlin, and have lost only one of their last six matches against bottom-half teams.

Southampton not to beat Stoke –

It is worth taking advantage of Stoke’s odds-against price to not lose this match between two evenly-matched sides.

The Potters secured a creditable 1-1 draw at Leicester last weekend, and have lost just one of their five matches under Paul Lambert.

Southampton have failed to win any of their last seven home league games, dropping points against Huddersfield, Crystal Palace and Brighton in the process.

Bolton v Preston –

Bolton’s form defies their large price to win this game.

Phil Parkinson’s side have lost just one of their last 13 home league matches, and have taken four points from promotion-chasers Bristol City and Fulham at the Macron Stadium since the start of February.

Preston have won just one of their last five away matches and are winless in four overall, having lost 1-0 at home to Ipswich last time out.

Scunthorpe v Oldham –

Scunthorpe are faltering in the race for the play-offs, winning none of their last four home matches and just one of their last nine overall.

In-form Oldham are primed to take advantage.

The Latics have won two of their last three matches, with an admirable 2-2 draw at league leaders Blackburn the only exception.
