Armed with nothing but a £10 stake and their own judgement, the Insider editorial team battle to be crowned the week's top tipster.
Juventus, Bayern Munich, Tottenham, Brentford and Blackburn all to win: £10 at 9/2*
My strategy of backing a few heavy favourites all to win worked well last week, so I’m following suit this time around.
Juventus will not want to let their hold on Serie A slip now that they are virtually out of the Champions League so really should beat Benevento, while Bayern can wrap up the Bundesliga title with a win at Augsburg.
Tottenham to beat Stoke is the Premier League banker of the day, Brentford should prolong their play-off push with a win over Ipswich, and Blackburn can continue their crusade to promotion against Southend.
Millwall, Blackburn and Schalke all to win and Chesterfield to avoid defeat: £10 at 17/2*
Millwall and Blackburn are on 14- and eight-match unbeaten runs at home respectively and can both be trusted to earn three points.
Grimsby are still on the longest winless run in the Football League and haven’t tasted victory in 20 matches, so I fancy Chesterfield at least earn a point.
Finally, second-placed Schalke travel to bottom-of-the-league Hamburg in the evening and are too enticing to leave out.
Juventus, Spurs and Marseille to win and Girona to avoid defeat: £10 at 4/1*
Spurs have won by four goals in each of their last four games against Stoke, while Juventus will have no trouble seeing off Serie A bottom-dwellers Benevento.
Marseille have only lost once at home in Ligue 1 since September, and I fancy them to beat a Marseille side that lost 2-0 to Monaco and 4-0 to PSG away from home this season.
Girona let me down by drawing last week, but they’ve still only lost to Sevilla, Barcelona and Real Madrid since January and I trust them to avoide defeat against Sociedad.
Bournemouth, Fulham and Plymouth to win or draw and BTTS: £10 at 10/1*
Bournemouth’s only defeat in their last nine home games came against Spurs.
Fulham are currently on a club-record 18-match unbeaten run, of which they’ve won 14.
Plymouth have won 10 of their last 11 games at Home Park, with the one exception coming against Wigan.
I fancy all three to avoid defeat with both teams to score, for reasons outlined in Adam Drury’s Saturday BTTS four-fold.
