Aston Villa to beat Rotherham

Rotherham’s dreadful away record makes backing Aston Villa a must, despite their dodgy run.

The Millers have lost four away games out of four in all competitions this term and have earned just two points from their last 27 matches on the road in the Championship.

Villa have drawn four of their last five league games, but have taken five points from their three matches at home this season.

Brentford to beat Ipswich

Brentford went second in the Championship at the weekend as they made it back-to-back league victories with a 2-0 win over Wigan.

The Bees dominate their matches and have taken 106 shots so far this season – six more than any other side – while they also boast the league’s top scorer in Neal Maupay, who has netted seven goals in five matches.

Bottom-of-the-table Ipswich are still searching for their first win under manager Paul Hurst, and were beaten 2-0 by fellow strugglers Hull last time out.

Leeds to beat Preston

League leaders Leeds scored an 89th-minute equaliser at Millwall on Saturday to maintain their unbeaten record in the Championship, despite missing seven first-team players.

That sequence includes victories over promotion rivals Stoke and Derby as well as a draw against Middlesbrough in their last match at Elland Road.

Preston beat a much-changed Leeds side in the second round of the EFL Cup last month, but have fallen to 23rd in the Championship after a run of just two points in six matches.

Wigan to beat Hull

Wigan lost away to Brentford on Saturday but their home record means they are worth backing.

The Latics have taken seven points from their three league games at the DW Stadium this term and have lost just two home games in their last 22 in all competitions.

Hull beat bottom-of-the-league Ipswich last time out, but had lost each of their last three matches prior to that. They have won just two in nine matches in all competitions this season.
