Both teams to score –

Villa were lucky not to concede against Cardiff on Tuesday, so are unlikely to survive against Leeds, who have only failed to score at Middlesbrough, Wolves and Fulham in their last 13 games.

Steve Bruce’s side have scored in all of their last 11 matches at Villa Park, so should fulfil their side of the bargain.

Conor Hourihane to be carded

Hourihane has been booked eight times this season, including in both of his last two appearances.

Given that Leeds’ last six opponents have received a cumulative 17 cards, Villa’s central midfielder could well find himself walking the tightrope yet again.

Paudie O’Connor to be carded

O’Connor has been booked in both of his first two Leeds appearances during the last week.

The centre-back is a good bet to maintain that 100 per cent record against the Championship’s third-best attack.

Over 9.5 corners

All of Leeds’ last 15 matches have passed this mark, and that sequence is unlikely to end on Friday.

In the same number of games, Villa have passed the same threshold on 12 occasions.
