Charlton to win –

Charlton closed out the regular season with three victories from their last four league games, including a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury, to claim the final play-off spot.

The Shrews managed just one victory from their final seven matches in all competitions and are without a win in five away from the New Meadow.

Jason Pearce to score anytime –

Pearce has scored important goals in victories over Blackburn and Shrewsbury during the past month.

The defender is a great price to net his third in five games in what is likely to be a tight affair where a set piece could prove decisive.

Under 2.5 goals –

All of Charlton’s last seven games, and six of Shrewsbury’s, have seen fewer than three goals scored.

In the cagey scenario of a play-off first leg, that pattern is unlikely to change.

Jake Forster-Caskey to be carded

Forster-Caskey is Charlton’s most booked player this season with 11 yellow cards, the third-most in League One.

His two most recent cautions came in pivotal fixtures against Shrewsbury and Blackburn during the run-in, so the midfielder looks a good bet to overstep the mark again.
