Croatia to beat Estonia –

First up, Croatia are in excellent form and should have no trouble getting us off to a winning start.

Ante Cacic’s side are unbeaten in 19 and have won five of their last seven.

A large part of their success has come from a superb defence that has conceded just two goals in those seven matches.

That should worry for Estonia, who are stagnant in attack.

They have scored just three in five and managed only two wins from their last 10, coming against Gibraltar and Antigua & Barbuda respectively.

An away win, therefore, is the fancied bet.

Austria to beat Finland –

Finland’s woeful form makes this pick a banker.

They have lost 11 of their last 16 and are second bottom of their World Cup qualifying group, having picked up just one point.

That disappointing run looks unlikely to change this week.

Austria have been beaten just once in their last four at home and have also kept back-to-back clean sheets.

Considering Finland have failed to score in four of their last five, another defeat is surely on the way.

Portugal to beat Sweden –

Home specialists Portugal are on fire and should win this one easily.

After their 3-0 victory over Hungary at the weekend, the European champions have now won seven on the bounce on their own patch.

They have gone goal crazy, too, hitting 19 goals in their last four.

Sweden, meanwhile, have struggled on the road and mustered just two wins and two clean sheets from their last eight away games.

That difficult period looks like continuing.

Cameroon to beat Guinea –

Next, it’s an all-African affair in Brussels that represents great value.

A 1-0 win over Tunisia on Friday was Cameroon’s fourth in a row, and they have not been beaten in 14.

They have also kept four clean sheets in five and should be able to take advantage of their opponent’s poor form.

Guinea have lost two out of three and have conceded two goals in each of those matches.

Don’t expect them to pull off any surprises here.

France to beat Spain –

France are an irresistible pick here.

Les Bleus have lost just once in 15 at home, winning 12 and netting at least two goals in each of those victories.

Spain, meanwhile, have been uncharacteristically poor on the road.

Julen Lopetegui’s side have kept just three clean sheets and won just twice in their last eight away games.

Didier Deschamps’ side should do the business.
