France to win or draw v Germany

Germany’s only victories in their last nine matches have been against Saudi Arabia and Sweden.

Joachim Low’s side have failed to beat France in any of the sides’ last three meetings, so that record is unlikely to improve.

Les Bleus have lost just one of their last 19 matches and should at least avoid defeat on Thursday.

Latvia to beat Andorra

Andorra have lost 45 of their last 50 away games and have failed to score in 14 of their last 16.

So despite being on a three-game unbeaten run – their joint-best ever sequence of results – they are likely to be beaten.

Latvia have won two of their last three matches at home, including a 4-0 victory over Andorra in October.

Norway to beat Cyprus

Norway’s 1-0 win at home to Panama in June was their fourth straight victory and seventh home game without defeat.

Lars Lagerback’s side have lost just three of their last 12 matches in that run, which has also featured victories over Iceland and Northern Ireland and a draw with Sweden.

Cyprus have lost 10 of their last 11 matches on the road, with their only victory in that sequence coming against Gibraltar.

Slovenia to beat Bulgaria

Bulgaria have lost eight and drawn one of their last nine competitive away games.

That run includes 7-2 and 4-0 defeats to Japan and Denmark in the 2016 Kirin Cup, as well as a 2-1 loss in Belarus in their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Slovenia are unbeaten in eight competitive matches at home. They have beaten Slovakia, Malta and Lithuania and drawn with England in that run, and should record another victory here.

Wales to beat Republic of Ireland

Gareth Bale’s inclusion in Wales’ squad means they are worth backing on Thursday.

The hosts have won three of their last four matches in which he has featured and lost just one of their last 10 – a run that stretches back to Euro 2016.

Ireland beat an inexperienced USA side 2-1 in the last international break, but had lost each of their previous three matches.
