Here are four football tips that Adam Drury thinks you should consider for England v Wales on Thursday evening.

England to win & under 3.5 goals

England’s recent Nations League matches – a 1-0 win v Iceland and 0-0 draw v Denmark – were poor matches, with the Three Lions failing to find any rhythm in attack.

They should win this game back on home soil, but with a much-changed line-up and lack of intensity likely, it probably won’t be a thriller.

England to score one or two first-half goals

England got off to fast starts in most of their recent qualifiers, but are unlikely to rack up three or four by half-time here.

An unfamiliar team and strange atmosphere should mean that one or two goals in the opening 45 minutes is the most likely outcome.

Danny Ings to score

Ings was second choice to Harry Kane in the last set of internationals, so should get the nod if the skipper is rested for the Nations League matches later in the week.

The Southampton forward has scored three goals in his last three matches, so is in good enough form to take advantage of a rare England start.

Under 10.5 corners

None of England’s last 12 matches have featured 10 or more corners.

The same can be said for each of their last four friendly matches, and with this unlikely to be a particularly high-energy game, it would be a surprise if the trend changes.
