Here are Guy Giles' football tips for France v South Korea on Friday night.

France to win

France are joint favourites to win the World Cup on home soil, and they should kick their campaign off with a win in Paris.

Corinne Diacre’s side have won six in a row coming into the tournament and have lost just one of their last 15 in all competitions.

Over 2.5 goals

Three or more goals have been scored in eight of France’s last 10 games, including their last five in a row.

South Korea don’t tend to be involved in as many high-scoring encounters, but this mark has still been reached in six of their last 10 in all competitions.

Kadidiatou Diani to score

Paris Saint-Germain star Diani has been in prolific form in the build-up, netting three goals in their two warm-up wins over Thailand and China.

The 24-year-old attacker, who can play both wide and through the middle, scored 13 goals this season for PSG in Division 1 Feminine.

Over 8.5 total corners

France have won an average of 8.2 corners over their last five games, with this mark being reached in three of those matches.

South Korea have averaged 4.4 corners over their last five games.
