New England are bottom of the Eastern Conference having lost five and drawn one of their opening seven games this season.

New York Red Bulls have had a tough start themselves and are without a win in four since beating San Jose 4-1 last month.

They have the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways here on what is one of their shortest road trips.

Sporting KC to beat San Jose Earthquakes (03:00)

San Jose Earthquakes’ miserable start to the season continued last weekend with a 2-1 defeat away to Houston Dynamos.

Matias Almeyda’s side have lost five of their opening six matches, including 3-0 and 5-0 defeats at home to Minnesota United and LAFC respectively.

KC claimed a credible 2-2 draw at home to New York Red Bulls last weekend and are unbeaten since their 2-1 defeat to Western Conference leaders LAFC on the opening day.
