Toronto FC to beat Portland Timbers (20:00)

Toronto are third in the Eastern Conference, despite only having played six games, three fewer than three of the top five.

The Reds have won three and drawn one of their four matches at BMO Field this season, most recently beating Minnesota United 4-3 last weekend.

They should add another three points against a Portland side who have lost five and won just one of their opening seven matches.

FC Dallas to beat San Jose Earthquakes (20:30)

San Jose Earthquakes threw away a two-goal lead on Thursday night to draw 2-2 away to Seattle Sounders.

That was the Quakes’ first away point in eight attempts, and they are unlikely to get any more here.

Dallas beat last year’s MLS Cup champions Atlanta United 2-1 on the road last weekend and have won four of their last five league games.

Houston Dynamo to beat Columbus Crew (01:30)

Columbus Crew were beaten 1-0 at home to DC United on Thursday night, thanks to a Wayne Rooney free kick, and have lost three on the spin.

That result followed a 3-1 defeat to Portland Timbers, who had picked up just one point in their previous six games.

Houston beat San Jose 2-1 in their last home game and have dropped just two points in their four matches at the BBVA Compass Stadium.

Sporting KC to beat New England Revolution (01:30)

New England Revolution capitulated to lose 3-0 to Montreal Impact on Thursday, despite not conceding the until the 79th minute.

That was the Revs’ sixth defeat out of nine in the MLS this season, while they have taken just one point from three games on the road.

Sporting KC have taken seven points from their opening three home games this season and hammered the Impact 7-1 last month in their last victory at Children’s Mercy Park.
