LA Galaxy to win or draw v FC Dallas

LA Galaxy got off to a great start to the season last weekend, coming from behind to beat Chicago Fire 2-1 at home.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened his account for the season and, with the Swede in the squad travelling to Dallas, I can’t see the Galaxy losing.

Dallas were held to a 1-1 draw at home to New England Revolution last weekend and have won just one of their last five home games in the MLS.

Minnesota United to win or draw v San Jose Earthquakes (01:00)

San Jose Earthquakes started the new MLS season as they ended the previous one: losing.

The Quakes finished bottom of the Western Conference last term and took just one point from their final eight games.

They lost 2-1 at home to Montreal last weekend, and I can’t see them beating a Minnesota side that followed an impressive pre-season with a 3-2 away win over Vancouver Whitecaps last weekend.

Seattle Sounders to beat Colorado Rapids (03:00)

Colorado Rapids scored a stoppage-time equaliser at home to Portland last weekend to snatch a 3-3 draw.

The Rapids’ fortunes are unlikely to improve on the road, given that they have managed just two away victories in their last 20 league games.

They will also have to make do without defender Axel Sjoberg in Seattle after he was sent off last weekend.

The Sounders hammered MLS new boys FC Cincinnati 4-1 at CenturyLink Field last weekend, meaning they have won 10 of their last 11 home games in the MLS.

Atlanta United to beat FC Cincinnati (21:00)

FC Cincy endured a tough start to life in the MLS as they were thrashed 4-1 away to Seattle Sounders on the opening weekend.

Their reliance on their players from the USL means they have been tipped by many to perform poorly, and it isn’t going to get easier with a trip to MLS champions Atlanta.

The Five Stripes haven’t dropped a point in their last seven home games and are unbeaten in 13 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
