Arsenal not to beat Crystal Palace –

After a torrid week, things will not get any easier for Arsenal.

Crystal Palace are on a fantastic run, recording back-to-back victories after their impressive 0-0 draw with Manchester City, and play with energy that can exploit any sloppiness from the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger’s side have only won one of their last four home league matches – a 1-0 victory over Newcastle – and have lost their last three league games when without Manchester United-bound Alexis Sanchez.

Middlesbrough not to beat QPR –

Middlesbrough presumably hoped that replacing Garry Monk with Tony Pulis would end the inconsistency that is plaguing their promotion ambitions.

Last week’s 1-0 home defeat to Fulham, however, suggests that will not be the case.

Boro have lost six of their last 12 league games, and will find life difficult at QPR, who have forged a reputation for themselves as impressive underdogs this season.

In their last seven home matches, Ian Holloway’s side have taken points from four of the Championship’s top six, including victory over runaway leaders Wolves.

Scunthorpe not to beat Gillingham –

Scunthorpe are on a decent run, but must overcome one of League One’s most in-form teams if they are to win their third-consecutive home game on Saturday.

Gillingham have reversed their worrying start to the season since Steve Lovell took over as manager in October, winning seven and losing just two of his 15 league matches in charge.

Having won at sixth-place Charlton a fortnight ago, a trip to the fourth-place Iron will not faze them.

Atletico Madrid not to beat Girona –

Girona have impressed in their debut season in La Liga, and can earn a positive result at Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Pablo Machin’s side hammered Las Palmas 6-0 last time out, extending a run of just three defeats in 11 matches that includes a famous victory over Real Madrid.

Diego Simeone’s hosts were beaten at home by Sevilla in the Copa Del Rey on Wednesday, and were held to a 2-2 draw by Saturday’s visitors in the reverse fixture in August.
