Here are our selections for this weekend's matches.

Chelsea v Arsenal

Chelsea (-1) –

Is anyone really arguing? We’ve seen it all before.

Chelsea to score 1 or 2 first half goals –

It will be 1-0 or 2-0 at half time and 3-0 by the 60^th minute, before Arsenal apply some late, meaningless pressure.

The predictability of it all means that this should be one of the easier games to bet on this weekend. 

Eden Hazard to score anytime -

Hazard should start his first game back from injury, and will likely torment the Gunners.

If he does, a goal for the Belgian is a consequence of how the game will almost certainly go.

Manchester United v Everton

Manchester United to win (-1) –

Everton were dismal against Tottenham last weekend, and there’s no reason to see things changing this weekend.

Ronald Koeman clearly doesn’t fancy Dominic Calvert-Lewin enough to feature regularly yet, but he has no other pacey options, meaning Everton are slow and easy to beat for the best teams.

Everton not to score –

Despite a couple of wobbles at Stoke, United have been solid defensively, particularly at Old Trafford, where they are yet to concede this season.

Combined with Everton’s attacking woes, this looks safe.

Marouane Fellaini to score -

The big man will replace Paul Pogba in midfield and looked in fine fettle against Basel on Tuesday.

Fellaini regularly makes a positive impact in attack for United, and he should have plenty of chances considering the way the visitors defended last weekend.

Crystal Palace v Southampton

Palace to win –

Crystal Palace may be deemed the Premier League’s current crisis club, but Southampton’s passable points tally has covered for the fact that they have failed to score in three of their first four matches.

The hosts are under new management, but if they put in a similar performance to that at Burnley, then they should beat their lifeless visitors.

Both teams to score -

Though Southampton are without a goal in three of their four league matches, the way palace have defended so far guarantees that they will create at least some chances.

Southampton's attacking players are too good to be kept quiet for too long.

Christian Benteke anytime -

Benteke has five goals in his four Premier League starts against Southampton.

After he went close against Burnley, a first goal of the season does not feel far away.

Tottenham v Swansea

Tottenham to win –

Two landmark victories inside a week suggest that Spurs have now fully got into the swing of things.

The win over Borussia Dortmund should have swept away any Wembley nerves, and with Harry Kane firing, this should be one-way traffic.

Dele Alli to score first -

Having missed out on the Dortmund game, Dele is a certainty to start this match.

Back him to cash in on Spurs’ dominance by scoring in a second successive home league match.

Both teams to score -

Spurs, though, are yet to keep a clean sheet as a home team at Wembley.

Swansea are unlikely to collect any points, but history suggests they could well find the net.

Bournemouth v Brighton

Bournemouth/Draw –

Perhaps we’re overestimating Bournemouth, but they have looked too good over the last two years not to turn their current situation around.

The Cherries have suffered five and four-match losing streaks in the last two seasons and always recovered.

The same should happen this time around, starting on Friday

Under 2.5 goals –

Brighton’s decent start defensively suggests there won’t be too many goals in the game, though.

Chris Hughton’s side have only conceded two goals in each of the games against Manchester City and Leicester, before shipping just once in their last three outings.

Total cards: Over 4.5 -

Bournemouth have picked up the second-highest number of bookings in the Premier League so far, with Steve Cook and Harry Arter early suspects.

Considering that referee Craig Pawson has brandished a minimum of six yellow cards – and two reds in Chelsea v Burnley – in all of his Premier League matches so far, this game has all the makings of being card-heavy.
