Jesse Lingard to score -

Lingard has, improbably, become United’s most dangerous attacker.

He has scored six goals in his last seven Premier League matches, including two at home to Burnley last time out.

Both teams to score –

United have scored in each of their 14 matches at Old Trafford this season.

They have, however, kept just two clean sheets in their last 13 games overall, while Southampton have netted against Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City this season.

Over 3.5 goals -

This covers a couple of eventualities.

United’s injury-hit defence have conceded two goals in three successive matches in all competitions, and have become vulnerable at set pieces – with Manchester City, West Brom and Burnley all taking advantage in recent weeks.

Jose Mourinho’s side remain prolific scorers, though, and have netted in 10 successive matches in all competitions, scoring at least twice in six of them.

A Virgil van Dijk-less Southampton, meanwhile, shipped five at Tottenham on Boxing Day.
