Big decisions:

Injuries to two members of my back three could have had me in real trouble this week, but, thankfully, I had two transfers in the bank to solve the problem.

I’ve brought in Nicolas Otamendi to replace John Stones, while Charlie Daniels – who faces Swansea, Burnley, Southampton and Palace in his next four games – comes in for Phil Jones.

Aside from those enforced moves I’m staying put, even if it means sticking by Dele Alli, a player I’ve been thinking of getting rid of for the past month.

The fact that Spurs play managerless West Brom means the England international keeps his place, and – as ever – Harry Kane gets the captain’s armband.

Big decisions:

I took a four-point hit to bring in Paul Pogba last weekend, which paid off rather nicely indeed.

With three goals and three assists in five Premier League appearances this season and a home game to Brighton to look forward to, he represents smart business at £8m.

I don’t think I can bring in anyone better than the players I’ve got for this round of fixtures, so I’m going to sit tight and earn an extra transfer.

Kyle Naughton aside, all of my defenders have clean-sheet potential, while six of my seven midfielders and strikers should be among the goals (sorry, Fabian Delph).

With Tottenham at home to a dishevelled West Brom, it makes sense for Harry Kane to have the captain’s armband.

Team: Sheffield Old Boys

Big decisions: 

Given that my shaky back five held up last weekend, I’m feeling positive going into this one.

Jamaal Lascelles is expected to be fit for the visit of Watford and I think Newcastle have got a decent chance of keeping a clean sheet.

I’ve relegated Pascal Gross to the bench in favour of Tiemoue Bakayoko, because I can’t see Brighton getting a sniff at Old Trafford.

I could give the captaincy back to Romelu Lukaku but, seeing as Harry Kane has had a habit of punishing me whenever I take the armband off him, it stays where it is.

Team: The Cleegulls

Big decisions: 

Operation ‘Sort Out My Midfield’ starts now.

I needed to add a bit of class and reckon Raheem Sterling – who has scored 11 in 17 in all competitions for City this season – is the best option out there, particularly at £8.1m.

That means making some cutbacks up top, so Gabriel Jesus the player to make way.

I’m sure I’ll regret it, but he felt like the least risky option since, unlike Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku, he’s not his club’s main striker.

Call me reactionary, but I’ve replaced him with Callum Wilson.

Games against Swansea, Burnley, Southampton and Crystal Palace offer a good chance to build on his hat-trick last week.

And, at just £6m, I’m left with funds in the bank to continue my gradual overhaul next week.
