DEFENDERS

Kieran Trippier (Newcastle)

Trippier ranks joint-top for key passes of all Premier League defenders this season, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The right-back also ranks sixth for xAssists, so he should soon add to his tally.

Fulham have the second-worst xG against record in the league.

Aaron Cresswell (West Ham)

Wolves are having another disappointing season in attack, with their tally of three goals the fewest in the league.

Bruno Lage’s side have also had the third-fewest shots and have registered the seventh-worst xG against in the league, suggesting that things aren’t going to get much better.

They travel to West Ham on Saturday. Hammers defender Aaron Cresswell is your best bet, considering that he is on set-pieces and ranks third for xAssists in David Moyes’ squad.

Romain Perraud (Southampton)

Only two teams have scored fewer goals than Everton so far this season, so it’s worth considering a Southampton defender.

Perraud, who ranks 10th of all Premier League defenders for key passes per 90 minutes, is a solid under-the-radar choice.

The left-back also ranks top for xAssists per 90 in the Saints squad.

MIDFIELDERS

Luis Diaz (Liverpool)

Liverpool have won six of the nine matches that Diaz has scored in since he signed in January.

The Colombian has a good chance of contributing to another win here, considering that he has netted in two of Liverpool’s three home league matches this season.

He has taken just one fewer shot than Mo Salah this term.

Son Heung-min (Tottenham)

Son backed up his hat-trick against Leicester last time out for Tottenham with a goal in each of South Korea’s games during the international break.

The forward has also scored in four of his last five north London derbies.

Arsenal have conceded in each of their three home games this season and are without a clean sheet in 10 matches against Tottenham.

James Maddison (Leicester)

Nottingham Forest have conceded 17 gals in seven games so far this season, including three at home to both Bournemouth and Fulham, so it’s worth picking up a Leicester attacker.

Maddison leads the way for goals (three) and xG (1.13) in the Foxes squad so far this term.

He also ranks seventh in the Premier League for shots on goal.

FORWARDS

Harry Kane (Tottenham)

Kane has scored six goals in nine appearances for Tottenham this season.

He ranks second for xG and fifth for shots per game in the Premier League.

The England captain is also by far the highest goalscorer in north London derby history, with 13.

Callum Wilson (Newcastle)

Fulham’s porous defence can help a second Newcastle asset to flourish this weekend.

Wilson has scored two goals in three appearances this season, posting an xG per 90 minutes of 0.59.

With Alexander Isak and Chris Wood both injured, he is sure to play and have opportunities to score here.

Patrick Bamford (Leeds)

If the beginning of this season is anything to go by, goals will soon flow for Bamford, who should back from injury for this one.

The striker ranks third for xG per 90 from his four appearances so far this season, the only player in the top 19 for that metric without a goal.

Aston Villa have conceded seven goals in three away games so far this season.
