Big decisions:

I could’ve rested on my laurels this week after grabbing over 180 points over the past two, but Spurs’ weekend off has spurred me into action.

With Harry Kane dropping to the bench I’ve plundered the transfer market for Roberto Firmino – the second-highest scoring striker who’s available for less than £9m.

Shipping out Alvaro Morata has freed up some cash for a little midfield upgrade, so in comes Kevin De Bruyne for Dele Alli as the rich get even richer.

Mohamed Salah is an obvious choice as captain, and my most difficult decision in the end has been whether to summon Fabian Delph or Charlie Daniels from the bench.

Bournemouth’s 11 goals conceded in three games makes that a pretty straightforward choice, as we opt for a City trio in midfield.

Team: Another New Dawn

Big decisions:

I’m certainly not alone in having to facilitate a major reshuffle to deal with the absence of Harry Kane this weekend.

But somewhat more unique may be the five-at-the-back system that I’ve plumped for to cover for the guy who’s scored me 68 points in the last week.

It actually doesn’t look awful, surprisingly, with at least four of them sure to start, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek ready to step in should Jurgen Klopp bench Dejan Lovren again.

It all means that I have two transfers up my sleeve for Tottenham’s double gameweek in the new year.

Team: The Cleegulls

Big decisions:

Spurs’ rearranged fixture against West Ham has left me really struggling to make up the numbers this week.

Harry Kane has been on fire, but I need to bomb him out – albeit temporarily – in order to bolster my options up front.

Roberto Firmino is his replacement with six goals in his last six league games and an entertaining-looking fixture at home to Leicester to come.

Romelu Lukaku gets one last chance to prove his worth, otherwise he’ll be making way for Kane next week.

I’ve also taken a four-point hit to bring in Shane Duffy for the suspended James Tarkowski. He’s got a couple decent clean-sheet chances coming up and is always a threat from set pieces. 

Manager: Will Rook

Team: Sheffield Old Boys

Big decisions: 

Having taken 149 points from the last two gameweeks, the dressing room is buoyant. 

We're moving in the right direction and I'm angling for a top-half spot in the next month or so. 

Obviously Harry Kane's absence will hit my team, and around 50 per cent of all other FPL teams, hard. 

Mohamed Salah weighed in with a couple of assists against Swansea and is on fire at the moment, so he stands in as captain.

Elsewhere, I'm confident Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling and Roberto Firmino can keep us firing.

Angelo Ogbonna is on his way out, though.

My back three earned me just one point on Boxing Day, so I've decided to use my extra cash to splash out on Nicolas Otamendi.

Team: Pascal Vegan

Big decisions:

Not having Harry Kane in my team, never mind as captain, has killed me.

With Tottenham not in action until next weekend, however, the decision to transfer Kane in can wait.

My only change this weekend is to bring in the prolific and cheap Jesse Lingard, who has made the second-striker position behind Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United his own after netting six times in December.

Lingard replaces David Silva, who is currently absent from the Manchester City first team for personal reasons.

Elsewhere in the team, I could do with a decisive performance from Eden Hazard, who has produced very little since being transferred in earlier this month.
