Will Rook and Adam Drury provide their football tips from Saturday's action in the Premier League, EFL and Ligue 1.

WIN/DRAW/WIN

Dortmund to beat Schalke to nil (14:30)

Dortmund come into the Revierderby on a five-game winning streak in all competitions.

Lucien Favre’s side are unbeaten in their 18 home games this season, winning 14 and drawing four.

Schalke are winless in their last six away games and have failed to score in their last four.

Norwich to beat Southampton (15:00)

Norwich have kept themselves alive in the fight for Premier League survival with two victories from their last three games at Carrow Road.

The Canaries beat Leicester 1-0 as part of that run and also knocked Tottenham out of the FA Cup on penalties last week.

Southampton have lost five of their last six in all competitions, including three from three on the road.

Burton to beat Wycombe (15:00)

This pick is almost entirely based on Wycombe’s dreadful away form.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side have lost six of their last seven on the road, with the only exception coming against bottom-of-the-league Bolton.

They have the worst travelling record of any side in the top half having managed four victories in 16, while Burton are unbeaten in nine league games at the Pirelli Stadium.

Walsall to beat Macclesfield (15:00)

Second-bottom Macclesfield lost 3-0 at Plymouth last weekend and would be in deep trouble this season if it weren’t for the reduced amount of relegation spots.

The Silkmen are winless in their last nine, having taken two points in that run, and are without a victory in four at Moss Rose.

Walsall have taken 11 points from their last five unbeaten games and won 3-1 at home to fourth-placed Exeter last weekend.

Chelsea to beat Aston Villa & over 1.5 goals (17:30)

Aston Villa were thumped 4-0 at Leicester on Monday, leaving them second bottom and two points from safety.

Dean Smith’s side have lost five on the spin in all competitions, while there have been two or more goals in each of their last 13.

Chelsea have beaten Liverpool and Everton in back-to-back games and won three of their last four domestic matches.

BTTS

Morecambe v Plymouth (15:00)

BTTS has landed in nine of Morecambe’s last 10 matches, with the one exception a 2-0 win against a poor Macclesfield team.

Plymouth have won their last two matches 3-0, with BTTS landing in four of their last five on the road.

The Pilgrims have scored in 16 of their last 18 league games overall.

Port Vale v Crawley (15:00)

Port Vale have scored in eight consecutive home games, with BTTS landing in three of the last four.

That run includes a 2-2 draw with Scunthorpe last time out at Vale Park.

Crawley have scored in 14 of their last 16 games, with BTTS landing in seven of their last eight on the road.

MYTHBUSTER

Brighton draw no bet v Arsenal (15:00)

Brighton put in a solid performance to draw 0-0 at Wolves last week, meaning that they have only lost two of their last seven games.

Though they are without a win in 2020, they have been unlucky in several of their games. They rank 10th for xPts in 2020 (above Arsenal), only losing the xG battle in one of their four home matches at the Amex Stadium.

Arsenal have been lucky to beat Everton and West Ham by one-goal margins in their last two league games and are yet to win a league away game under Mikel Arteta.

ANYTIME GOALSCORERS

Matty Taylor (Oxford) to score v MK Dons

Taylor has scored 17 goals this season, including six in his last five appearances.

The striker has scored five goals in his last three home matches, all of which have been against relegation candidates like MK Dons.

The Dons have conceded in 15 consecutive away matches.

Mason Mount (Chelsea) to score v Aston Villa (17:30)

Mount ended his goal drought against Everton last weekend, and he can repeat the trick at Aston Villa on Saturday.

The midfielder has had nine attempts on goal in his last four appearances and faces a side that have conceded more shots per home game than any other Premier League team.

Villa were hammered 4-0 at Leicester on Monday, the fifth consecutive game in which they have conceded at least two goals.
