Newcastle not to beat Brighton –

Newcastle are a good bet not to live up to their billing as favourites in this game.

The Magpies have lost four consecutive matches at St James’ Park, including defeats to nil against Bournemouth, Watford and Everton.

Rafa Benitez’s side have only beaten West Ham, Swansea, Stoke and Crystal Palace all season, with their lack of clean sheets – the second-fewest in the division – of particular concern.

Brighton are on a four-match losing run away from home, but three of those were narrow defeats to Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea.

The Seagulls can turn that record around on Saturday.

Blackpool not to beat Plymouth –

Plymouth’s recent away record is impressive, and justifies backing them at a big price not to lose at struggling Blackpool.

The Pilgrims, who won at MK Dons on Boxing Day, have only lost one of their last six league away matches – a sequence that includes a win at Bradford and draw at Blackburn.

Blackpool are without a win in eight in all competitions, so are a good bet not to take all three points on Saturday.

Roma not to beat Sassuolo –

Roma’s title pursuit has fallen away over the last month, and Sassuolo are capable of inflicting a third-straight defeat on their hosts.

Giuseppe Iachini’s side have won three consecutive league matches, including hugely impressive wins against Sampdoria and Inter.

Their hosts, who have lost their last two games, are vulnerable, and are worth backing to slip up again.

Sampdoria not to beat SPAL –

Sampdoria’s form has suffered ever since their 100 per cent home record was ended by Lazio at the beginning of the December, with the subsequent defeat to Sassuolo even more of a concern.

Marco Giampaolo’s side are now without a win in five overall, having lost four and claimed their only point at 16^th-place Cagliari.

SPAL have avoided defeat in their last three matches, and impressively fought back from 2-0 down to claim a draw against Torino last time out.
