Our football tips for Wednesday come from the Champions League and Championship.

Barnsley to beat Hull (19:45)

Barnsley have given themselves a chance of surviving relegation following back-to-back victories against Fulham and Middlesbrough.

The Tykes kept clean sheets in both of those victories, restricting Boro to zero shots on target last weekend, while their 3-0 win away to Fulham was particularly eye-catching.

Hull have lost seven and drawn two of their last nine matches in all competitions and have conceded three or more goals in three of their last five.

Scott Hogan (Birmingham) to score v Millwall (19:45)

Hogan has scored four goals in five appearances since signing for Birmingham on loan from Aston Villa in January.

The Irishman has averaged 2.6 shots per game in that period, which is the second-most in the Blues squad.

Millwall were beaten 1-0 away to strugglers Wigan last weekend and have kept two clean sheets in seven matches in all competitions.

Charlton to win or draw v Sheffield Wednesday (19:45)

No team has earned fewer points than Sheffield Wednesday (six) over the last 11 matches in the Championship.

Garry Monk’s side have taken one point from their last five league games at Hillsborough and have failed to score in their last four.

Charlton have won three of their last five matches, including a 3-1 victory at home to Luton last Saturday.

Lyon draw no bet v Juventus (20:00)

Juventus come into this on the back of a 2-1 away win against bottom-of-the-league SPAL, but that was only their third victory in six matches.

That was also their only victory in their last four away games, having previously drawn 1-1 with 10-man AC Milan and lost to both Hellas Verona and Napoli.

Lyon are unbeaten in seven in all competitions at the Groupama Stadium and avoided defeat in each of their three group games at home.

Given that their double-chance price is odds-on, it’s worth getting on the draw no bet.

BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Real Madrid v Manchester City (20:00)

Real Madrid drew 2-2 with both PSG and Club Brugge at the Bernabeu in the group stage, while they spanked Galatasaray 6-0.

This bet would have landed in three of their last four home games, with the only outlier a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid earlier this month.

Both teams scored in each of Manchester City’s final four group games and there have been over 2.5 goals in 14 of their last 20 matches in all competitions.
