Southampton travel to the London Stadium having won just one of their last 17 Premier League matches – a run of form which resulted in former manager Mauricio Pellegrino losing his job.

New boss Mark Hughes took the Saints to the semi-finals of the FA Cup in his first match in charge – beating League One side Wigan 2-0 – but his main task is to ensure the club don’t finish the season inside the relegation places they currently occupy.

Saturday's visitors are 18th in the table, one place and two points behind West Ham. It does not need explaining how important this game is.

The Hammers were beaten by Burnley last time out, but their home form prior to that game had been impressive, having won two and drawn two of their four previous top-flight fixtures.

That, coupled with Southampton’s struggles, makes them worth backing to avoid defeat on Saturday.

The Hammers’ most recent victory at the London Stadium was last month’s 2-0 triumph over Watford, where Marko Arnautovic got on the scoresheet.

Arnautovic has netted seven times since David Moyes took over in November, and is worth backing to score.

The forward comes into the match in fine form, having netted three times in two appearances for Austria over the international break.

Finally, it is worth betting on there being a goal in the match between 76 and 90 minutes, as this has been the case in West Ham’s last four outings.
