Ecuador double chance & under 2.5 goals (15:00)

This bet has landed in nine consecutive Ecuador games, including the 2-0 win over Qatar and 1-1 draw with the Netherlands at this tournament.

With the South Americans needing a point to progress ahead of their opponents, they are hardly incentivised to play an open game here.

Senegal have been toothless in attack so far, losing 2-0 to the Dutch and beating Qatar 3-1 in an uninspiring performance.

Netherlands to beat Qatar & over 3.5 goals (15:00)

Netherlands may need to win by two or three goals to wrap up top spot in this group, so should beat Qatar heavily.

With the host nation also already eliminated, they may decide to commit more men forward than they have done in their first two games.

That will give the Dutch every opportunity to put a few goals past a defence that looks dodgy at the best of times.

Iran to draw with USA (19:00)

Iran know that unless Wales beat England, a draw will take them through to the last 16.

Carlos Queiroz’s side were much improved against Wales last time out, but still only scored two very late winning goals once their opponents were down to 10 men.

This game will largely consist of USA having the ball and trying to break their opponents down, but this looks a good price for them to just fall short of the win they need.

If Wales do beat England, both these teams will need a victory, which could see the game end in a draw anyway.

England to beat Wales & under 3.5 goals (19:00)

England’s group-stage campaign is taking the same shape as Euro 2020, when they won their last match 1-0.

Gareth Southgate is the ultimate pragmatist and will know that while a draw was acceptable against USA, winning this game and topping the group is likely to be crucial.

The pattern of the tournament means a low-scoring game is likely, but Wales’ form at this tournament suggests the Three Lions should win.
