Saudi Arabia v Egypt: No

A dead rubber between two sides that have scored a total of one goal between them in the tournament doesn’t suggest a thriller.

Saudi Arabia have mustered just two shots in target across their two matches, and have scored one goal in their last four matches.

Egypt haven’t been much better. Their penalty against Russia was their only goal of the tournament, and also their only shot on target in that game.

Uruguay v Russia: Yes

The winners of this game will avoid the side that top Group B, so both of these teams should be expected to go for the win despite having already qualified.

Russia are the tournament’s highest scorers with eight goals, and should manage to breach an admittedly stingy Uruguay defence.

The South Americans, surprisingly, have only scored twice in this tournament so far, but they’re always worth backing to get a goal with Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani up front.

Iran v Portugal: No

Iran’s last three games have finished 1-0, including their win over Morocco in their opening game and defeat to Spain on Wednesday.

Their only goal of the tournament so far was an own goal in the 90th minute, and, while they had one disallowed against Spain, they failed to have a single shot on target.

Iran’s defence proved solid in letting in just one against Spain, however, and they could manage to hold a Portugal team that is so reliant on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Spain v Morocco: No

Morocco are still yet to score at the World Cup, having lost both of their opening games 1-0.

Don’t expect them to find the net against Spain, who held Iran to no goals and no shots on target last Tuesday.

Morocco have, perhaps, been unlucky not to score, but it’s hard to see them putting in much of a performance in this final group game now they’ve already been knocked out.
