Egypt v Uruguay: No

Egypt were beaten 3-0 in their final warm-up game against Belgium last week, the second successive match in which they’ve failed to find the net.

The Pharaohs have scored just once in their last four matches in the absence of Mohammed Salah – who is unlikely to be at his best even if he plays on Friday – and even that goal was a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Kuwait.

It’s unlikely they’ll find the net against Uruguay, who have kept three clean sheets in a row.

Morocco v Iran: No

Morocco have kept clean sheets in five of their last nine games, conceding just four goals in total during that time.

The Atlas Lions open their World Cup campaign against Iran, who have developed into a fine defensive side under Carlos Queiroz.

Iran have kept clean sheets in four of their last seven matches, with both teams scoring in just two of those games.

Portugal v Spain: Yes

Spain have scored in all 20 of their matches since Euro 2016, and will surely do so again on Friday.

Portugal should also find the net, having done so in 10 of their last 12 matches.

Four of Spain’s last five games have seen goals at both ends, and that trend is likely to continue in La Roja’s World Cup opener.
