France v Australia: Yes

France have scored in nine successive games, and will almost certainly do so again in their World Cup opener.

Australia are also worth backing to find the net, given that they’ve bagged six goals in their last two matches against Czech Republic and Hungary.

France have kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches, conceding to Germany, Colombia, Russia, Italy and USA.

Argentina v Iceland: No

Argentina have kept clean sheets in seven of their last 11 matches, with Brazil, Uruguay and Italy among the teams they’ve managed to keep out during that spell.

Expect a low-scoring game against Iceland, who conceded just once in their last five World Cup qualifiers.

Both teams have scored in only one of Iceland’s last eight competitive games, so there’s unlikely to be goals at both ends on Saturday.

Peru v Denmark: No

Peru are an exciting attacking team, but they’ve also been solid at the back recently, conceding just one goal in their last seven matches.

They drew 0-0 with Sweden last time out, and another stalemate is likely against a similarly stingy Denmark.

The European side haven’t conceded a goal in four matches – a run that includes 0-0 draws with Chile and Sweden.

Croatia v Nigeria: No

Croatia have only scored three goals in their last five matches, failing to break through against Greece, Peru and Brazil.

Both teams have scored in just two of their last 11 games, a run that dates back to June of last year.

Nigeria lost 1-0 to Czech Republic on Wednesday, and have also fired blanks against Serbia and Morocco during their last six matches.
