Portugal v Morocco: Yes

Portugal will always be worth backing to score as long as they have Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a hat-trick last week’s 3-3 draw with Spain.

The European champions’ aging defence was poor in that Group B opener, however, and should again struggle against a Morocco side that are better than they showed in their defeat to Iran.

Morocco had scored in seven of their last eight games before failing to break through against Carlos Queiroz’s incredibly defensive side, and they should rediscover their form in front of goal on Wednesday.

Uruguay v Saudi Arabia: No

Uruguay took 89 minutes to score against Egypt last Friday, with star strikers Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani squandering several chances.

The South American side were excellent at the back, however, keeping their fourth successive clean sheet.

Expect another when they play Saudi Arabia, who were toothless in their 5-0 defeat to Russia and have scored just twice in their last four matches.

Iran v Spain: No

Spain will almost certainly score on Wednesday, despite how well Iran defended against Morocco in their first game of the tournament.

Nevertheless, BTTS is unlikely given how poor the Asian side are going forward.

Iran’s winner against Morocco was an Aziz Bouhaddouz own-goal in the 96th minute, and they’ve failed to score more than one goal in each of their last four matches, despite playing Uzbekistan, Turkey and Lithuania.
