Mexico v Sweden: Yes

Sweden probably need to beat current Group F leaders Mexico to have a chance of reaching the last 16, so their defensive-minded side will surely push forward more than they usually do on Wednesday.

Janne Andersson’s team have scored in both of their World Cup matches so far, and looked dangerous against Germany before sitting back to defend their lead in the second half.

Expect goals at both ends when they play Mexico, who are perhaps the best counter-attacking side in the tournament, but conceded a late Heung-Min Son goal against South Korea last time out.

South Korea v Germany: Yes

South Korea took 93 minutes to break through against Mexico for their first goal of the World Cup so far.

They should double their tally against Germany, who have been disastrous defensively in Russia and are without a clean sheet in seven matches.

The world champions have found the net in five of their last seven matches and are also almost certain to get on the scoresheet, as they chase a place in the next round.

Serbia v Brazil: No

Brazil’s 2-0 victory over Costa Rica last time out was the fifth time in six games that Tite’s side have won to nil.

They have only conceded one goal in their last 10 matches, and should keep a clean sheet against a Serbia side that squandered a one-goal lead to lose to Switzerland in their second group game.

Serbia have scored in their last two matches but failed to get a goal in a March friendly against Chile and should find it similarly tough against Brazil's strong defence.

Switzerland v Costa Rica: No

Defence should be Switzerland’s priority on Wednesday in a game that they will probably only need to draw in order to progress.

The European side have kept clean sheets in five of their last eight matches, including a 6-0 win over Costa Rica’s local rivals Panama in March.

It’s hard to see Costa Rica finding the net against Vladimir Petkovic’s side, given that they are yet to score in this tournament and have fired blanks in six of their last nine matches.
