Croatia to score over 1.5 goals –

Croatia had scored at least twice in all of their World Cup matches before the round of 16, and can return to form against Russia.

The tournament hosts had to do a lot of running to keep out Spain last weekend, so are likely to tire against a Croatian side that will dominate possession just as comfortably.

Ante Rebic to score –

Croatia have spread their goals around, so the logical step is to back the longest-priced of their attackers.

Rebic scored brilliantly against Argentina in the group stage, and would’ve netted against Denmark last weekend had he not been brought down in the box by Nicolai Jorgensen.

Over 2.5 Russia cards –

Stanislav Cherchesov’s side picked up three bookings against Uruguay and two against Spain.

Expect them to receive plenty more if, as expected, they tire against Croatia.

Under 1.5 Croatia cards –

Croatia did not receive a single card in their last-16 game against Denmark.

Spain picked up just one booking against Russia last weekend – Gerard Pique was cautioned for handball – and Zlatko Dalic’s side should control possession in a similar way.
