Croatia to win or draw –

Croatia have only lost two of their last nine matches, one of which was against Brazil in a pre-tournament friendly.

Argentina won just seven of their 18 qualifying matches, and were unconvincing against Iceland on Saturday.

Both teams to score –

Argentina racked up 27 shots in that opening match – more than any team at this World Cup so far – and, with the quality of attackers at their disposal, will surely register on Thursday.

They did look shaky at the back, though, and will struggle to shut out a talented Croatia side that have scored in 12 of their last 14 games at international tournaments.

Under 3.5 goals –

That being said, it’s unlikely to be a goal-fest.

There have been over 3.5 goals in just one of Argentina’s last 10 competitive games, and only one of Croatia’s 17 matches since the start of last year.

Over 3.5 total cards –

Argentina didn’t get any yellows in their opening match, but picked up 36 cards in their last 12 qualifiers.

With their tournament on the line and top spot up for grabs, things could get tasty.

Over 11.5 total corners

Argentina racked up 10 corners all on their own against Iceland, while Croatia have had six or more in seven of their last nine games.
