Peru to score over 1.5 goals –

Peru rank 10th in the World Cup for shots, and will surely convert their dominance from previous matches here.

Australia have kept just three clean sheets in their last 17 matches, and have conceded in every World Cup match that they have played since 1974.

Paolo Guerrero to score –

Peru’s shot stats show that they have been far more creative than their standing in Group C suggests.

With the pressure off in this game, Guerrero is the best bet to take one of the several chances that will come his side’s way.

Over 1.5 Australia cards –

Australia received three bookings in their first match against France, and could collect more in their attempts to stop Peru’s technicians.

Referee Sergey Karasev has awarded 35 yellow cards in his last seven matches, so will not hold back from getting his notebook out again if the Socceroos do resort to foul play.

Mile Jedinak to be carded –

At least one opposition central midfielder has been booked in both of Peru’s two matches so far, and Jedinak is a prime candidate to complete the set.

The tough-tackling skipper has been carded twice in his last five games for club and country.
