France (-1) to beat Australia (11:00) –

France have won six of their last nine matches, with four of their last seven victories coming by a margin of two or more goals.

Australia were unimpressive in qualifying and required extra time to get past Syria in a play-off, while they have only ever won two World Cup matches in 13 attempts.

Argentina to beat Iceland (14:00) –

Iceland’s preparation for the World Cup has been dreadful, losing three and drawing one of their warm-up friendlies.

Argentina have won four of their last six matches, including a 2-0 victory over Italy in March, and should take three points here.

Peru to win or draw v Denmark (17:00) –

Peru extended their unbeaten run to 15 matches with a 0-0 draw against Sweden last weekend, having won each of their previous five.

They have conceded just one goal in seven and should claim at least a draw against a Denmark side that have won just two in six.

Croatia to beat Nigeria (20:00) –

Nigeria were beaten 1-0 by Czech Republic straight after their 2-1 defeat to England a fortnight ago and have avoided defeat just once in their last four, drawing 1-1 with DR Congo three games ago.

Croatia beat Senegal 2-1 last time out and have only been beaten by Peru and Brazil in their last eight.
