Over 3.5 goals –

France and Belgium have been involved in the two knockout matches to produce at least four goals in 90 minutes, so should put on an entertaining semi-final.

Les Bleus put two goals past Uruguay, previously considered the tournament’s best defensive team, while Roberto Martinez’s side are the competition’s top scorers.

Kevin de Bruyne to score –

Martinez moved De Bruyne into a more attacking position for the quarter-final against Brazil, and was rewarded with a superb performance and goal.

The 27-year-old is primed to take advantage of the open nature of this game, and is a great price to score again.

Over 4.5 cards -

Two of the three knockout games to produce over 3.5 goals (including the 2-2 draw between Croatia and Russia that required extra time) have seen over 4.5 cards, with the end-to-end football conducive to more desperate fouls.

France’s 2-0 win over Uruguay also produced four cards, while Belgium have received two or more in three of their five games in Russia.

Vincent Kompany to be carded –

Six defenders been carded against France in five matches at the World Cup.

Given that Kompany is vulnerable to pace, he may also have to resort to fouls to stop Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.
