Uruguay to win to nil –

Saudi Arabia were unable to turn their 61 per cent of possession into a single shot on target in their opening game against Russia.

Uruguay have kept seven clean sheets in their last 10 matches, including the last four in a row.

Uruguay to score a header

Two of Russia’s five goals against Saudi Arabia came from headers, as did Uruguay’s only goal against Egypt.

That inability to defend crosses, combined with the South American’s superior physicality, makes another headed goal likely.

Goal scored between 76-90 minutes –

Saudi Arabia conceded three goals after the 70th minute in the opening match, with two coming in stoppage time.

After netting a last-minute winner in their first game, the Uruguayans should make more late inroads as the Saudis tire once again.

Under 1.5 total cards

Despite the game quickly running away from them, Saudi Arabia only received one caution against Russia – in the 93rd minute.

Uruguay didn’t pick up a single card when being frustrated by Egypt, and will surely have a much easier time on Wednesday.
