MIKE LORENZO VERA

To win

To lead after the first round

Lorenzo Vera is coming off a T6 at the European Masters a fortnight ago, having been tied with Matthias Schwab for the first-round lead.

The Frenchman is making a habit of starting well this year. He’s been inside the top 10 after the first round at the Irish Open, PGA Championship and China Open since May.

With five top-10 finishes in his last 10 starts, Lorenzo Vera is capable of winning this week, and his knack for starting well makes him a great option to take advantage of our first-round leader offer.

GAVIN GREEN

To win

To lead after the first round

Green was T6 after the first round in his last start at the European Masters, meaning he’s now started well in three successive events.

The 25-year-old was T7 after round one at the Scandinavian Invitational, and he held the lead at the end of Thursday’s play at the Czech Masters before that.

Few players are playing as well as the Malaysian, and he’s a great bet to take the early lead in Amsterdam and perhaps even earn his first European Tour win.

SEBASTIAN SODERBERG

To win

To lead after the first round

Soderberg earned his first European Tour victory a fortnight ago at the European Masters.

The Swede opened with a round of 64 in that event, leaving him T3 after the first round, and he’s worth backing to make another fast start in Amsterdam this week.

Soderberg was also T12 after the first round in his previous start at the Scandinavian Invitation and went on to finish T5.
