Bryson DeChambeau –

DeChambeau earned the second PGA Tour win of his career in his last start at the Memorial Tournament a fortnight ago, seeing off Ben An and Kyle Stanley in a playoff.

The 24-year-old is having an excellent season, with four other top-fives to go with that victory at Muirfield Village.

He missed the cut at last year’s US Open, but finished tied for 15th in 2016. He is a great bet to improve upon that result this week given how well he’s playing.

Louis Oosthuizen –

Oosthuizen is always worth a bet at a major given his ability to peak at the biggest events, and that is particularly true at Shinnecock Hills this week.

The links-style course is perfectly suited to the South African, whose excellent ball striking and play in the wind saw him win the Open in 2010 and finish second in a play-off 2015.

Oosthuizen has finished as a runner-up in all four majors in his career, and has got to be backed each-way this week after making the cut in his last four US Open starts.

Xander Schauffele –

Schauffele finished fifth in his US Open debut at Erin Hills last year – his best result in a major to date.

The 24-year-old already has two PGA Tour win to his name, having triumphed at the Greenbrier Classic last July and at September’s Tour Championship – a FedEx Cup event that boasted an incredibly strong field.

Schauffele has missed two successive cuts, but did pick up a T2 at the Players Championship in the start prior to those and has shown an ability to contend even against the best players even in just his second season on the PGA Tour.
